"It was a short stop, I had a coffee and traditional desert. SERVICE quickly, smile. Place with a lot of light, deserts look great, prior to get in, we saw many people in, with deserts. I can't eat sugar though I may only say the way it looked like but I can't refer to taste. THE ONE I took bite of is OK not wow but everyone loves different things it's a matter of taste. I BOUGHT pan de queso not as fresh as I thought I suppose it must be oven delivered to be softer, this one was probably made early in the day."

It’s the kind of pastry that feels homemade and traditional, full of flavor and history. Perfect with a strong coffee. Prices are very low, especially compared to the quality and quantity. For just a few euros, you can enjoy pastries that would cost much more in tourist-heavy areas. It’s the kind of place locals come to regularly, and you can feel that authenticity. The staff are quick and efficient, making sure you’re served fast even when the place gets busy. Don’t expect luxury service – it’s a busy pastelaria – but do expect efficiency and friendliness. If you want to experience a true Portuguese pastry shop in Coimbra, Pastelaria Visconde is a must. Come hungry, try different sweets, and enjoy a taste of tradition at very fair prices."

"Nice relaxing lunch, pastries were very good. I am going to butcher this but the “Brazilian cheese bread, sorry I don’t know the correct name was wonderful. The rabbit stew was done very well, loved the meat and olives. Recommend."

"I’ll give this a five out of five if we hadn’t ordered the American hamburger off the menu. The ham and brie sandwich was to die for, but I would recommend staying away from the hamburger and french fry options on the menu. They don’t do North American very well. We went back for a pastries later in the day and they were phenomenal a great place to stop for a quick espresso and pastry."
